This is a blog about politics, religion, media, and society, as well as what links these seemingly separate fields. Now that I am living in Taiwan, the focus has shifted to the situation here, but politics, religion, media, and random images--mental and actual--are within the realm of the possible here. Thank you for joining us.
You will be happy to know that today, as I was walking from the Zhongxiao Xinsheng metro station to Da'an Park, I discovered Gasthaus zum Adler German Cuisine.
Zum Adler, jaja. Do the waitresses run around in Dirndl? And do they play Schunkelmusik? Do they serve water or beer? A month ago or so a German restaurant opened at one end of the Mare-bridge near my room: suddenly there was an awful noise, which went on and on and on. When I finally surrendered and packed my stuff to go to a a far away cafe (Burgerzaken) I passed the noise...some Bavarian-dressed men blew horns for the opening of that suspicious looking German 'Kneipe'. Anyway, we are going to try it soon (then I have a funny story to tell at dinner-table when I visit my parents in Germany). Tschüß!

I don't actually go in; it just caught my eye.
